As the monks prayerfully began the Advent season in the Monastery, Saint Benedict Center was bustling with activity as local crafters and artisans prepared their displays for the annual Christmas on the Hill craft show.  With over 40 vendors selling everything from natural skin care products made with emu oil to handcrafted jewelry and woodwork, guests are guaranteed to find a variety of unique holiday gift items.  Also on display is an exhibit of one of a kind nativity scenes from around the world, organized by Fr. Volker and a group of Oblate volunteers.

Craft Show Hours (November 30-December 14):

  • Monday-Friday: 2:00-6:30 pm
  • Saturday-Sunday: 10:00 am-7:00 pm

A group of high school students from the Lifeteen ministry of Divine Mercy Parish have been preparing for the annual Christmas Pageant for the last several weeks.  Along with several adult volunteers, the teens will present “The Incredible Gift,” the story of a poor and handicapped boy who travels with the Three Magi to meet the Newborn King in Bethlehem.  It is a powerful story of hope and of the personal transformation and healing that comes from God’s unconditional love for us all.  “The Incredible Gift” will be performed this Saturday, December 6th at 5:00 and 7:00 pm.  Admission is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children.  Weather permitting, the pageant will be presented outdoors, with the audience following the action around the grounds of Saint Benedict Center.  After the show, guests can enjoy hot chocolate and cider, homemade Christmas cookies, storytelling, and a visit with Santa Claus.
